"Activation was honestly easy"
I got my number transferred over and the phone activated way faster than I expected. No real issues came up, so I’m assuming that’s how it’s supposed to go, right? Overall, it was a smooth experience.

"Coverage keeps dropping on me"
I really wanted Total by Verizon to work out because the price looked decent, around town it’s fine sometimes, but then I’ll be in the middle of doing something and suddenly, nope, one bar or no data at all. It’s weird because these are places where my phone used to work better, so it’s not like I’m out in the middle of nowhere.

Calls have dropped more than I expected too, and the internet can crawl even when it says 5G, which is frustrating. I tried customer service, but they basically had me restart my phone and that was that. It’s not the absolute worst service I’ve used, but for me it just isn’t reliable enough

"The plans are affordable and it works..."
The plans are affordable and it works fine for what I need. My only real annoyance is that some of the communication isn’t very clear, so I’ve had to figure a few things out on my own. Still, for the price, I can’t complain too much

"I checked my phone on totalbyverizon.com before..."
I checked my phone on totalbyverizon.com before ordering, and it said it was compatible, so I figured I’d give it a shot. compared to other carriers where I’ve had to jump through hoops, this was painless. The SIM showed up, I popped it in, and it actually worked without any drama. Checkout was simple too. So far, I’m happy with it and haven’t run into any real issues

"Pretty good speeds, but I do wonder about the slowdowns"
I’ve had Total by Verizon for a few months now, and the speeds are solid most of the time where I live. Streaming, maps, and basic browsing all work fine on a normal day. The only thing that bugs me is it definitely slows down in crowded areas, and sometimes after I’ve used a lot of data it feels like they’re quietly nudging me to back off or pay for something better. Maybe that’s just how the network works, but it’s hard not to wonder. Still, for the price, I’m not too upset. I’d probably give it 5 stars if the throttling wasn’t so obvious when it kicks in.

"Uh, autopay keeps messing up my bill"
I’ve had a few billing issues with the autopay, which has been frustrating. Uh, the actual service works fine for the most part, but I wish the billing side was more reliable.

"Felt stuck, but support sorted it fast"
I had to reach out to support because my plan wasn’t showing correctly, and I was starting to feel kind of trapped, like I was going to be stuck going back and forth forever. But the person on chat was really nice, didn’t rush me at all, and had it fixed in just a few minutes. I expected it to be a hassle, but it was surprisingly easy. Good customer service, no complaints.
